Design of the healthcare lighting control system for this project is underway, with commissioning commencing once the build is further progressed and DALI-2 components installed.

The 6 levels of the new East Wing building will contain 102 DALI networks and the zencontrol system will incorporate more than 40 controllers, 900 sensors, and hundreds of switches including push buttons, rotary dimmers, RGB scene sets, and LCD smart panels.
We consider the ability to monitor and maintain the control system remotely, with no requirement to attend site to be a significant benefit for buildings with vulnerable residents or patients. This has become particularly important in recent years with the threat of Covid-19 being introduced by visitors/tradespeople being of considerable concern.
Being able to remotely program, maintain, and make changes to hospital lighting control systems and to other high risk sites such as residential care homes and other medical facilities has been a complete game changer during these challenging times.
