Simplified Control

To create a "simple" control system as part of home automation is actually a very complex task. It involves the integration of a number of different technologies. The goal is to pull them together and ensure they work seamlessly as a complete home automation "system" that can be operated via a user-friendly interface.

We are experienced systems integrators in the field of commercial and home automation and lighting control. We develop systems that meet the client's demands for an integrated package of security, lighting, air-conditioning, irrigation, blind or louvre control, and audio visual systems.

We work with home owners end users, builders, architects and contractors to ensure the best outcome for the customer, and added value to your business.

Planning and Design

Home Automation Planning & DesignInvolve us in the early stages of your home automation project to assist the client in establishing his needs and his wish list. We can then offer practical advice and suggestions to ensure the new home or commercial premises can perform to its potential.

We are happy to liaise with all parties: clients, architects, designers, builders, electrical contractors, etc to produce detailed specifications on what the project should include. It is important that consideration be given to all electrical devices that are to be included in the system such as lighting, security, home theatre, irrigation, temperature control. Equally important is consideration of what may be required in the future!

Style of interfaces such as touch-screens, remote control units, switch inputs etc should also be considered to ensure they provide the desired functionality, while also appealing visually, fitting in with décor etc.

Managing the Project

Home Automation ManagementIf the team of builders, electrical contractors and other consultants is already established, Intelligent Environments Limited can work with them, providing project management support to ensure the system design is delivered to plan.

We are happy to be involved as little or as much as is required, whatever is necessary to ensure the smooth running of the project and that customer expectations are met.

Alternatively, if your team has not yet been created, we can recommend third parties, including electrical contractors, who can complete the physical aspects of your installation.

Installation

Working with the contractors who have been assigned to your home automation building project, we will work around construction timelines, occupancy deadlines, or any other factors communicated to us.

Integration

Home Automation IntegrationNew buildings, whether residential or commercial, employ a variety of technologies to control lighting, temperature control, irrigation, security, multi media systems and myriad other products and appliances.

Normally all products and appliances would be stand-alone and controlled individually. However, by creating a network, it is possible to control all, or a selection of these technologies with one or multiple switches, touchscreens or remotes.

The technologies can be linked to act intelligently and customised according to the needs of the end user.

Various scenes can be created for instance, incorporating lighting, audio visual, and temperature control. They can be set up to operate at the touch of a switch, or remote, or scheduled to run at a certain time of day. By integrating these technologies, we can make life simpler, more efficient and more cost efficient.

Programming

Home Automation ProgrammingBy working with the end user and establishing their needs, we can programme the system to suit their lifestyle or working environment. We work with the client to ensure the system is user friendly and does everything the client wants it to!

As time goes by, situations often change. We ensure flexibility is built into the system so it will cope with changing needs. Some things can be changed by the client quite easily. Where more complicated changes or add-ons are needed, we are happy to come in and re-adjust the programming or advise what may be required.

Support

After the home automation installation is completed we will pay a final visit to fine tune the system and ensure it’s running to requirements. Training for the client on using the system will be provided and we will also provide all relevant documentation and the database.

Hardware provided comes with the manufacturer’s warranty (usually between one and two years dependent on product). In addition Intelligent Environments Limited are pleased to offer a two year warranty on all programming (as long as no changes have been made to the original database).

Our support does not end there. Intelligent Environments Limited also offer a free follow up visit, (maximum one hour) usually a year later, to check the home automation system, and make any minor adjustments that may be necessary.

We are also readily available by phone or email and are happy to discuss any further system requirements the client may have. We can advise what programming may be required, and whether any extension or upgrade to the current system would be necessary.
